Chris Bernat, Vapor Apparel/Source Substrates

Chris Bernat, a Partner at Vapor Apparel/Source Substrates, has written on mass customization for SGIA and other industry publications. He is a contributing writer for Impressions Magazine and other periodicals on the topics of sublimation and customization. Previously, Bernat was Director of Sales for Sawgrass Technologies after serving as both the Business Manager of the Sublimation Division and Large-Format Product Manager. Before joining Sawgrass, he managed sales and product marketing duties for several high-tech firms including ITC Holding Group, Pearson International and Netsurfer, Inc. Bernat, a Clemson University graduate, lives in Charleston, South Carolina.

Jeff Burton, SGIA

Jeff Burton, Digital Printing Analyst for SGIA, has served with the Association since 1998. He provides solutions to digital printing production, computer and workflow issues as well as digital equipment and vendor recommendations. Jeff currently teaches Introduction to Digital Printing, Color Management at association headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. His extensive background in digital inkjet printing, graphics applications, professional photography and production, serves members by supplying individualized solutions to their daily business problems. Jeff received his B.S. in Photographic Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Vince Cahill, VCE Solutions

Vince Cahill, President of VCE Solutions, provides consulting services for Fortune 500 and other companies operating in the analog and digital printing industries. He also is a Principal in The Colorworks, where he has a 25-plus year career in specialty graphics. Previously, Cahill served as CEO of Datametrics Corp. as well as Principal and Technology Developer for Newhill Technologies and GDI, which are devoted to digital printings applications. He is a longtime volunteer with SGIA, serving on the Association's Textile Committee for several years. Cahill has contributed several articles to the SGIA Journal.

Jennifer Chagnon serves as product manager, Digital Imaging for InteliCoat Technologies. Chagnon has a strong background in commercialization of manufactured products, as well as experience in marketing and promoting consumer products. Prior to joining InteliCoat, Chagnon was the senior program manager for Omniglow Corporation’s consumer product division. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, trade shows and conventions.

Mark A. Coudray is a well known industry writer and presenter. His 300+ articles and columns have appeared in every major publication both in the US and abroad. Coudray has been an active member of the Academy of Screen Printing Technology since 1989 and has been involved in SGIA for more than 30 years.

As an SGIA Board member, Coudray has served for 24 years as a Director and was Chairman of the Board in 2000. He is a Parmele Award recipient as well as Magnus Award and two-time Swormstedt Award winner. His printing company has received 18 Golden Image Awards across a number of categories. Coudray is best known for his work in quality processes, digital workflow and halftone color separation and reproduction methods.

Marci Kinter, SGIA

Marci Kinter, SGIA's Vice President for Government & Business Information, oversees the Association’s development of management resources. She represents the specialty imaging community, and its associated supplier base, before federal and state regulatory agencies and the U.S. Congress on environmental, safety and other issues that directly impact the industry.

Kinter is responsible for directing the activities for SGIA's government affairs and business resources for members. She is a member and Secretary of the Academy of Screen Printing Technology. In 2001, Kinter received the William D. Schaeffer Environmental Award for significant advancement of environmental awareness in the graphic arts industry. Kinter holds a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the University of Maryland, and a master’s degree in public administration from George Mason University.

Lynn Krinsky, Stella Color

Bruce Ridge, Business Director of Nazdar Consulting Services, directs the Chromatix Color Consulting program, which helps printers improve profitability by printing consistent and predictable color. At Nazdar, he coordinated and facilitated the Nazdar Masterprint seminars that were presented to more than 2,500 printers in North America. Ridge has run presses from all the major print processes, and received four Golden Squeegee Awards from SGIA. He is a graduate of the graphic communications program at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and is dedicated to training and education in the screen and digital print processes. Bruce Ridge is also a member of the Academy of Screen Printing Technology (ASPT).

Michael Robertson, SGIA President/CEO, has been with the Association since the early 1980s, constantly striving to move the industry forward. As CEO, Robertson is a proponent of investigating and supporting new technologies. The growth of the industry, he believes, rests in its acceptance and development of new markets based on new technologies, and he is dedicated to helping SGIA members understand and prepare for the challenges and competition inherent with new technology. Mike Ruff, Chief Technology Officer of Nazdar Consulting Services, has more than 35 years of experience in the graphic arts business. In 1993, he founded PGF Megafilm, which became ReyHan PGF and is now part of Thrall Enterprises —- the parent company of Nazdar Ink Co. Ruff travels 45 weeks a year, providing productivity improvement consulting work in North America. He’s an internationally known speaker, author of many trade journal and magazine articles and member of SGIA's Academy of Screen Print Technology.

Johnny Shell, SGIA's Vice President of Technical Services, directs and coordinates the activities for the Association's Technical Services department and the Screen Printing Technical Foundation. Shell also teaches SGIA workshops, writes technical articles for the SGIA Journal and conducts seminars at several industry events, including the SGIA Expos. He has worked in the specialty imaging industry for the past two decades, with experience that ranges from compact-disc manufacturing to textile and graphic printing.

St. Cyr earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a master’s degree in technology management from Brooklyn Polytechnic University and Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

With more than 35 years of experience in the screen printing industry, Charlie Taublieb, Owner of Taublieb Consulting, trains technical personnel for new and existing shops, helps design new plant layouts and provides state-of-the-art instruction in new procedures and techniques. Taublieb graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in fine art. He was a Vice President at Great American Screen Designs for six years and President of Bullseye Screen Printing Supplies for 13 years.
