Michel Caza is born in France, August 2, 1935,
High School and University in journalism (France) and sociology (Sweden)
He entered in the screenprinting field 1954 in Stockholm (Sweden), 57 years ago (student job!).
His last company, Graficaza (1983), devoted to industrial graphic screenprinting and POP/POS was sold during June 2004.
The company (2.500 m2) was managed by his wife Thérèse, as Marketing and General Manager, he was the CEO and Technical manager.
Specialized in extremely sophisticated type of screen printing in process colors fine lines (up to 300 lines/inch) on any type of substrates from paper to any plastic materials and others.
As an "Art Master screenprinter", Michel Caza has been printing more than 2.800 Fine art original serigraphs and reproductions and was working 45 years with the most famous artists in the whole world.
Graficaza, his ex-company because of the high quality of its works, won 350 Awards between 1983 and 2004 in the American (SGIA) and European (FESPA) Awards Competitions, in all the fields of applications of the graphic, artistic and industrial screen printing technology…. A world record! His pupils over the world keep this tradition going.
Michel Caza, is also a technical writer, a conferences and seminars’ speaker – everywhere in the world -, a consultant and a searcher.
He has been participating to the elaboration of extremely sophisticated improvements of the screenprinting technology, in the fields, of UV (he is one of its initiators during 1977), very fine lines halftone printing, the high tension of the screen, inks, squeegees and machinery developments, stochastic halftones, analog and digital processes for prepress, and many other things in the field of industrial screen-printing (often covered by the « industrial secret »)… and digital printing UV technology since its beginning, etc. He is a Specialist of Color Spaces and ICC Profiles in screen and digital printing, member of GWG.
He has been (1962) one of the founders of the FESPA : The Federation of European Screen Printers and Digital Imagers Associations, 28 European countries + India, China, Thailand, Australia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Philippines, South Korea, Japan and Mexico.
He is Board member of FESPA Board as one of its nine Directors.
Member (1982) of the Academy of Screenprinting Technology (ASPT), he was its Chairman between October 2004 and October 2006.
He has been the President of FESPA from June 1996 to June 1999 and was again its President from October 2000 to June 2002. He is now one of its “Board members”.
He has been President of the French Screen- & digital printers Association (GPSF) from October 2000 to April 2005 and is now its Vice-President and President of its Environmental and Technical Committee.
Now International consultant and co-owner of a new built company “Terascreen” selling sophisticated equipments for screen printing in Europe.
He received in October 2010 the highest honor of SGIA of which he is a member since 1979, the Howard Parmele Award.
