 Art Dobie
Inducted into the Academy in 1998
Art Dobie is a Senior Territory Manager for Sefar Inc. based in Depew, NY. He has been with Sefar 30 years since receiving his BS in Graphic Communications (specializing in Screen Printing Technology) in 1980 from California University of Pennsylvania's School of Science & Technology.
Art has instructed the "Technology of Screen Printing" Professional Development Course for IMAPS (the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society) since its inception in 1991. Over the past thirty years, he has delivered numerous technical papers and presentations relating to screens and screen-printing technology to electronic, industrial, and graphic screen-printing professionals at local, national and international level symposia. Art is also an invited instructor for the SPTF's "Screen-Making: Basic to Professional" Workshop.
Mr. Dobie is a Fellow of the Society of IMAPS, and the 2006 recipient of the IMAPS John A. Wagnon Technical Achievement Award for outstanding technical contributions related to microelectronics technology. He has held numerous offices within the society, including president and vice-president of the Keystone Chapter. Art is also the 2010 recipient of the SGIA’s David Swormstedt, Sr. Memorial Award recognizing the best published article or technical paper written for any aspect of the screen printing industry.
Inducted on October 7, 1998, Art Dobie is an active member of the ASPT.
