Michael
Domberger
Inducted into the Academy in 1992.
Michael was born in Suttgart in 1940. In 1956, he was a screen
printing apprentice in Germany, and by 1958, he passed the German
national screen printer's examination.
From 1958 to 1961, Michael pursued screen printing studies in Switzerland,
England, Denmark and the United States.
From 1964 to 1967, he attended Akademie für Graphik,
Druck + Werbung in Berlin and received a degree as "Ingenieur
für Drucktechnik".
In 1967, Michael assumed control of the Domberger screen printing
company from his father.
From 1968 to 1978, he served in the screen printing section of
the German BVD. And from 1979 to1981, Michael was Chairman of the
screen printing section of the German BVD.
In 1980, Michael was appointed to the FESPA Board. In 1982, Michael
was a Svecia prize-winner. In 1986, he served as FESPA Vice-Chairman,
and in 1988 to1992, as FESPA President. He then served as FESPA
Past President from 1992 to 1996.
