Wolfgang
Pfirrmann
Inducted into the Academy in 1997.
Wolfgang, during the last 8 years of his 30-year career in screen-printing,
has concentrated his efforts on developing and marketing Computer-To-Screen
Systems for KIWO and Kissel + Wolf. Prior to this time, Wolfgang
was responsible for the applied research labs of KIWO Texas and
in Germany. While in charge of the labs, Wolfgang developed new
stencil quality measurement systems that he introduced to the industry.
Throughout his career, commencing with his apprenticeship as a screen
printer, and continuing through his positions as a screen printer,
production manager, training manager and product manager, Wolfgang
has accumulated extensive experience in all areas of screen printing.
Wolfgang has written myriad technical articles for trade magazines
and trade association publications in the USA, Central America,
Central Europe and Asia. He is a frequent speaker and seminar conductor
at industry conventions, trade associations sponsoring educational
programs, and at trade organizations. Wolfgang has also developed
many educational programs for screen printers and for universities
that offer graphic arts programs
Educational Experience:
Supervision and mentoring of apprentices during their education
as screen printer and co-op students in undergraduate and graduate
cooperative programs. Extensive experience in developing and conducting
seminars, technical workshops and continued educational programs
for screen printers and at universities with graphic arts programs.
Publications and speaking assignments:
Numerous technical articles in trade magazines and publications
of trade associations in USA, Central America, Central Europe and
Asia. Frequent speaking assignments at industry conventions, trade
associations with educational programs and trade organizations.

Managed the Applied Research Department, developed educational seminars
and training programs for customers, industry and faculty members
of technical schools. Researched and introduced new quality control
concepts in the screen-printing industry. Developed automated coating
equipment and researched influencing parameters on screen making.
