Ad Versteeg
Inducted into the Academy in 2011
He has been active in the screen printing industry since 1968, as a screen printer in the graphics industry in companies in Holland as well as in New Zealand. Later he was a teacher of screen printing techniques and the general editor of a screen printing magazine for almost 18 years. For some 7 years he has been the secretary of 'Het Zeefdruk Instituut', a non-profit organisation for the purpose of the screen printing industry, of which he was one of the founders. He has written several textbooks and translated Fespa's e-learning screen printing course into Dutch.
In 2004 he wrote 'Anything Goes at the Screen printer's' a book aimed at the layman and a marketing tool for the screen printing industry. This well-illustrated book is unfortunately only available in Dutch at the moment. Today he is an independent consultant and free-lance journalist, writing for several magazines, and photographer with a life-time passion for the process of screen printing'.
Ad Versteeg is married with three children and three grandsons (and one underway), and since 1998 owner of Evident, based in Utrecht, Netherlands.
