Printing Tips
The printing performance of this Web site may vary from one platform/ browser/printer combination to another. The most common variance is the visible page width. If the right side of the Web page is not visible when printed, you can change the paper layout from "portrait" to "landscape" using the Page Setup menu in your browser.

In Internet Explorer, Page Setup is located under the File menu.

In Netscape Navigator, select "Print..." under the File menu to change the page layout.

General Information - Security Tips

There are increased concerns about security at trade shows. In an effort to protect your products, you may wish to take the security measures listed here:

  • If you use a hinged crate: (1) Use solid panels (2) Use internal hinges (3) Use padlocks

  • Ship your equipment in well-constructed and lockable containers.

  • Mark the containers only with your name, address, booth number, and which number container it is (i.e., Box 1 of 15).  NEVER indicate the contents on the containers.

  • Make sure the containers are unpacked in your presence. Compare the contents to your master inventory list.

  • If you use “open” slotted crates, cover the contents in dark rather than clear plastic.

  • If possible, ship proprietary components separately.

  • Post “No Photography Allowed” signs if appropriate.

  • Add sheet metal or wood covers around proprietary components, machine drives, security cables, tags, screws, velcro, alarms, etc. to protect these items.

  • Key lock removable access panels on equipment.

  • Use cable locks on computers.

  • Lock keyboards to computers.

  • Hire a Security Guard for your booth, particularly during non-show hours.  (Order form can be found under Auxiliary Services.)

  • Cover equipment when appropriate.

  • Don’t set product literature where it is easily accessible to competitors.

  • Don’t leave displays, briefcases, purses, samples, etc. unattended during set-up and tear-down – or when the show opens – unless crated or secured.

  • Set a schedule with booth personnel so at least one person is present when the floor opens for exhibitors.

  • Instruct your trade show staff on security issues and responsibilities, both in the convention/show facility and outside of the facility.

  • Make sure you have an inventory of all equipment and mark it (engrave, etc.) with identifying information before you ship it.

  • Remove extremely valuable items from your booth at night and secure at your hotel.
