United is offering special meeting discounts for attendees of SGIA ’06.  Simply call (or have your travel agent call) our Special Meeting Desk at 1-800-521-4041 and refer to Meeting ID Number 597CB to receive a 2% to 10% discount off applicable fares, including First Class.  If you purchase your ticket at least 30 days prior to travel, you will receive an additional 5% discount.  This special offer applies to travel on domestic segments of all United Airlines, United Express, TED and United code share flights (UA*) operated by US Airways, US Airways Express and Air Canada.  There are no fees to book through the Special Meeting Desk.

We want to help you enjoy SGIA '06 more than ever with great rates and time saving services. Your special discounts are available on a wide selection of vehicles and are good from one week before to one week after SGIA '06. So take in the sights and explore the surroundings.

To reserve a car, contact Avis at 800.331.1600 and use your Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number J906764. Or reserve with Avis online and have your discount number automatically included in your reservation and receive an e-mail confirmation.

Ground Transportation
Taxicabs: The cost for a taxicab ride from the airport to the Convention Center or hotel in our block ranges between $13.00 and $18.00. To ensure the shortest, most direct route, it is recommended the taxi driver be asked to use the "Paradise Road route". Taxicabs are available on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1-5. Airport personnel are available on the taxi curb to assist passengers. Taxis will not accept credit card payments. There is a $1.20 charge on all fares originating at the airport. The maximum number of passengers allowed in any taxi is five (5) including infants and children.

Airport Express Shuttle Service: Gray Line operates a convenient airport shuttle service to and from all of the major Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Resorts. Strip Resort Rates: One Way $5.00 per person; Round Trip $9.50 per person. Downtown Resort Rates: One Way $7.00, Round Trip $13.00 per person. The Department of Aviation and the airlines strongly suggest you be at the airport at least 2 hours prior to your flight departure time. Please call Gray Line Express well in advance of your departure to schedule a return shuttle reservation at 702.739.5700.

Airport Limousine Service: A variety of shuttle/limousine services are available at McCarran, and are located on the north and west sides of baggage claim, outside door exits 8-14. Please note that there are both group shuttle and "for-hire" stretch limousine services. All shuttle companies operate 7 days a week.

Las Vegas Monorail: The Las Vegas Monorail runs 7 days a week from 7 am - 2 am Monday through Thursday and until 3 am Friday thru Sunday from Sahara Hotel to MGM Grand with the following stops in between - Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas Convention Center, Harrah's/Imperial Palace, the Flamingo/Caesar's Palace and Bally's/Paris. A single ride ticket costs $5.00, a two ride pass costs $9.00, a ten ride pass costs $35.00 and an unlimited one day pass costs $15.00. Parking: Exhibitor Parking Passes are available under the following specific guidelines and can be purchased at the LVCVA Ticket Booths located at the entrance of the parking lots. No exhibitor passes will be issued for two or three choice days. If parking is needed for just a few days, it is recommended the regular parking pass be purchased. The fee for regular daily parking is $10.00 per day and does not include in-and-out privileges. Continuous parking with in-and-out privileges at no additional cost beginning Friday, September 22 and ending on Friday, September 29 would cost $80.00; beginning Saturday, September 23 and ending on Friday, September 29 would cost $70.00; beginning Sunday, September 24 and ending on Friday, September 29 would cost $60.00 and beginning Monday, September 25 and ending on Friday, September 29 would cost $50.00.
