40 Color without Compromise, And the Freedom to Excel!

This presentation promises to have you “thinking outside the product!” Screen printers and separators will learn: you don’t have to compromise on ink selection, you can use any ink supplier, you have no restriction on ink sets, and you can get the best results with the fewest inks. Inkjet printers will learn that there is relief for their lack of satisfaction with the retranslation of their separations to the inkjet machinery manufacturer's formula, that there are ways to allow you to print what you separated, that you can use any ink in any inkjet head, and that any inkjet fabric printer can control the mixing of special colors as easily as mixing CMYK. All will learn how to be independent of any supplier in just two days, with no further license or support fees necessary.

Herm Haffner, Nor-Cote International
Michelle Adams, Nor-Cote International.
Traditionally only the graphic layer was a viable consideration for
conversation to UV curable systems. With recent advances made in application
and UV formulation technology, it is now possible to screen print and
UV cure many components of the functional membrane switch. This includes
the conductive layer, pressure sensitive adhesive layer, and now the
spacer layer as well as the traditional graphic overlay.
This talk will look at the economics, production benefits, production
techniques and challenges of using screen printable UV curable materials
for the production of membrane switches. Specific information will
include application testing data and specific how-to production techniques.
Also discussed will be adhesive compatibility testing and durability
data as compared to traditional constructions. Finally the economics
of using UV curable screen printable products will be compared to a
traditional construction.
