5 Digital Signage - Reaching Its Full Potential
|

|
| Canavan |
Kelly Canavan, 3M
Digital sign networks (DSNs) are rapidly emerging, yet today, few are fully integrated elements of the customer’s marketing communication effort. This session will address the power and potential of digital sign networks and ways to think about return on investment. Specifically, attendees will learn more about the digital sign network industry, benefits and challenges of today's networks, and why digital and static signage can and should be developed together.
In addition, we'll discuss the anticipated evolution of digital sign networks. Owners and operators will better integrate DSNs within the total environment and develop more sophisticated objectives and success metrics. And DSN providers will need to stay ahead of those expectations with more sophisticated approaches and tools.

12. Optimizing
Output for Solvent Inkjet Printers
|

|
McCarron
|
Ed McCarron, InteliCoat Technologies
The adoption of solvent ink jet printers for not only outdoor durable
signs and banners, but also indoor photorealistic applications,
continues to grow rapidly. Solvent inkjet printers are an attractive
option for creating high quality graphics quickly and at a lower
cost per square foot than other options.
While many early adopters of solvent ink jet printers embraced
them because of economic advantages of their ability to print
on uncoated media, the hidden costs of this approach are becoming
apparent now. Today, many print providers are realizing that
the investment in specialty coated or treated media gives them
greater opportunities with their solvent ink jet printers,
allowing them to produce a substantially greater range of applications,
as well as improving the overall quality and durability of
traditional applications.
