Call for Presentations — Deadline February 13
SGIA Expo
Presenting an educational session at the SGIA Expo is an excellent way to share valuable experience, gain visibility, and raise the knowledge level of the specialty graphic industry in general. Proposals are welcome from SGIA members and SGIA Expo exhibitors, including printers, manufacturers, educators, distributors and industry consultants, as well as experts in sales and business management.
Printed Electronics and Membrane Switch Symposium
Members and printed electronics professionals: You are invited to submit high-level presentation abstracts to be considered for the 2012 Printed Electronics and Membrane Switch Symposium, which will be held in conjunction with the 2012 SGIA Expo (Las Vegas; October 18–20).
The 2012 Printed Electronics and Membrane Switch Symposium is once again in search of highly advanced sessions focused on:
- Current and near-future technology
- New materials driving improved techniques in the industry
- Innovative production processes and business models
- New markets for printed electronics and membrane switch
Sessions
Sessions are selected for inclusion in the SGIA Expo and Symposium educational programs based on factors including relevance/timeliness of the topic, educational value to the industry, and educational balance within the diverse specialty graphic industry. All proposals are considered, but only a limited number are accepted.
Please note that all proposed educational sessions must be non-commercial in nature, and should focus on increasing knowledge on a particular topic or technique, but not on a specific product or proprietary process.
Proposal for the 2012 SGIA Expo and 2012 Printed Electronics and Membrane Switch Symposium are due by Monday, February 13, 2012.
Educational Tracks
Graphics & Sign – Topics addressing graphics printing trends, technologies, techniques.
Garment Decoration – Topics addressing garment decoration trends, technologies, techniques.
Industrial Printing – Topics addressing industrial print trends, technologies, techniques.
Graphics Installation – Topics addressing installation trends, materials, techniques
Business Management – Topics addressing sales, business techniques, markets.
Production Management – Topics addressing workflow, process theories, facilities considerations.
Printed Electronics & Membrane Switch — Topics addressing production, business models, innovative materials.
Presentation Type
Expo Seminar — A lecture or panel discussion. 75 minutes in length (including Q&A).
Symposium Seminar — A lecture or panel discussion. 45–90 minutes in length (including Q&A).

To submit a proposal for the SGIA Expo, please submit the following information.

- One-paragraph description of session
- Three key lessons or learning objectives
