How to get there?
Transportation will be provided and is included in the golf registration fee. Buses will depart from the Overland Park Convention Center at 7:00am May 5, 2009 to arrive for an 8:00am tee time. Driving Directions.

What does my golf registration fee include?

  • Transportation to and from the golf course
  • Green Fees and taxes
  • Golf Cart Fees
  • A boxed lunch in a souvenir SGIA soft cooler bag

Can I rent clubs?
Yes. Clubs are available to rent for $50.00+ tax per set and are paid for by the player on site upon arrival. A reservation for golf clubs must be made in the registration process so that clubs will be available upon arrival. Both right and left handed clubs are available.

What shall I wear?
Deer Creek Golf Club has a dress code and is a soft spike facility – NO metal spikes are allowed. No denim jeans, shirts or shorts. No tank tops (sleeveless golf shirts are allowed for female golfers) and T-shirts are also prohibited. (Must be a collared golf shirt)

When will we return?
Buses will depart Deer Creek Golf Club when play is complete at approximately 2:30 and will return to the Overland Park Convention Center at approximately 3:00pm on Tuesday, May 5. (Note: Exhibits and the Buffet Dinner will begin at 5:00pm at the convention center)

Will there be a refreshment cart circulating around the course during play?
Yes, however items on the refreshment cart are not included in your golf registration fee. All items on the refreshment cart are available for any player on a cash sales basis. The golf course requires that items purchased by the players be paid by cash only, as no credit card acceptance service is available on the refreshment cart.

What if there is inclement weather?
In the case of inclement weather, SGIA reserves the right to cancel the tournament and will refund the green fee, unless play has started.

What is the Cancellation policy?
A $50 cancellation fee applies to cancellations made in writing to SGIA prior to April 15, 2009.  There are no refunds for cancellations received after April 15, 2009. Registration is transferable to another person from your company if your request is received in writing by April 15, 2009. Send cancellation notice to convention@sgia.org or fax to 703.273.0459.
