Expanding Market Opportunities Motivate Attendees
The 2010 Printed Electronics and Membrane Switch Symposium (Phoenix, May 18–20) drew leading printed electronics professionals from around the world to learn about the latest industry advancements and to improve their competitive position in this expanding marketplace.
“The 2010 Symposium was such an eye-opener,” said attendee Jimmy Cheung, Engineering Designer, GradTech. “Being in the membrane switch business for three years and as a first-time attendee, I found this Symposium to be very informative. I definitely look forward to next year’s Symposium.”

Keynoter Delivers Groundbreaking Presentation
Attendees benefitted from Robert Tarzwell’s Keynote address, “Integrating Advanced PCB Technologies into the New Printed Electronics.” The 45-year veteran and consultant pushed the boundaries as he spoke about the adaptation of existing PCB techniques into printed single-sided circuit manufacturing to gain market share in the booming printed electronics industry.
Attendees also had the chance to connect with numerous exhibitors across all segments of this high-tech industry. The diverse group of distributors and manufacturers showcased their company’s latest innovations in the specialized exhibitor area.
“We were pleased with the number of new attendees participating, and pleasantly surprised by the number of international attendees. Presentations were relevant and extremely informative,” said exhibitor Don Banfield, Product Manager of Conductive Compounds, Inc.
There also was a lot of excitement about the all-new Industrial Application Zone at the 2010 SGIA Expo (Las Vegas, October 13–15). This Expert Advice Zone will feature state-of-the-art and near-future industrial and electronics printing processes and products, making it the ideal place for Symposium attendees to reunite.
