The SGIA Community Reaches Out in Support of New Orleans

On behalf of the city and SGIA, I want to thank all of the SGIA members and friends of SGIA who gave their time, energy and supplies to install large-format graphics along Canal Street, thereby supporting New Orleans and promoting the SGIA community.

Canal Street is the main thoroughfare between the New Orleans Convention Center and the French Quarter. While the city has stepped up efforts to improve the urban landscape along Canal Street, SGIA wanted to offer temporary graphic panels for storefronts in the midst of construction. These colorful graphic panels illustrate the rich heritage and excitement of New Orleans.

This project supported the city and promoted the use of large-format graphics in an urban environment. In addition to the SGIA member printers, suppliers, affiliates and installation specialists who volunteered, the Professional Decal Application Association also joined SGIA in this effort.

Again, the Association thanks all of the participants for their efforts. The completion of this project truly reflects on the innovative nature of the specialty imaging community.
