The 2009 SGIA Expo:  An Exciting Vision of the Future

The 2009 SGIA Expo marks a new direction for the specialty imaging community.  This year’s Expo may be the most important event SGIA has ever held.  Our community, like most business communities, is being redefined. The companies that take advantage of today’s opportunities will be the leaders in tomorrow’s exciting marketplace.

The positive response to the SGIA Expo is a clear confirmation that our community is ready to move forward.  A full host of exhibitors will be in New Orleans with many new technologies and business development opportunities for their customers. And excitement is really building among the attendees, too. As I write this report, we’ve exceeded the 11,000 pre-registered mark.

The specialty imaging community has a huge advantage compared to other printing sectors.  While other print sectors are struggling with commoditization due in part to mature technologies, the specialty imaging community is using emerging technology to open up new markets. They also are bringing new value to existing customers.  Tomorrow’s leaders aren’t waiting on the sidelines. They are seizing these opportunities today.

Yes, the 2009 SGIA Expo promises to be an exhilarating event.  It will be a true reflection of the changing community. Attendees and exhibitors will create an energetic experience with renewed focus and competitive spirit. At the 2009 SGIA Expo we’ll get a first-hand look at the future of specialty imaging.
