The overwhelming success of the 2010 SGIA Expo was a direct result of North American specialty imagers uniting in support of the SGIA Community and the manufacturers and suppliers that provide the necessary finances for SGIA-funded services and support throughout the year.

This year’s Expo in Las Vegas marked a welcome turning point for the community — the show floor was absolutely vibrant with optimism. Imagers are creating new opportunities for business growth and strengthening their futures. Their support of the Association, and the North American community, made this event a huge success.

The SGIA community is moving in a positive direction, but we can’t rest on our laurels. We learned a valuable lesson from the recent economic challenges. Across the SGIA community, efficiency and effectiveness will be the cornerstone for profitability.

SGIA is dedicated to helping printers and imagers in North America maximize their profitability while competing in today’s global marketplace.

Soon, you will be asked to add your voice to the new SGIA Printers Action Committee. This is a grassroots initiative coordinated by SGIA that will give North American specialty imagers more influence in government legislation and the marketplace.

The SGIA Printers Action Committee will:

• Actively support legislation in favor of North American business development
• Strive for “a level playing field” in today’s global marketplace
• Open new markets and create business opportunities for specialty imagers in the SGIA community
