This report is broken down into several sections. The first offers a quick reference guide to the new NAICS system in the United States. The second section offers a more detailed look at each industrial process. 32311 - Printing
This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in printing. The following establishments are NOT included in the 32311, Printing industry classification:

Providing photocopying service on nondigital photocopy equipment without performing traditional printing activities - NAICS 56143, Business Service Centers;
Printing on grey goods -- NAICS 31331, Textile and Fabric Finishing Mills. (This does not include screen printing on apparel, but only those materials considered yard goods.)
Performing pre-press or post-press services without performing traditional activities - NAICS 32312, Support Services for Printing.

323113 - Commercial Screen Printing
This industry sector includes establishments primarily engaged in screen printing without publishing. This industry sector includes establishment engaged in screen printing on purchased stock materials, and those engaged in printing on apparel and textile products.

323114 - Quick Printing
This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in traditional printing activities, such as short run offset printing or pre-press services, in combination with providing document photocopying service

323115 - Digital Printing
This U.S. Industry comprised establishment primarily engage in printing graphic materials using digital printing equipment. Establishment known as digital printing typically provide sophisticated pre press services including using scanners to input images and computers to manipulate and format the graphic images prior to printing. Establishments primarily engaged in printing with "up front" computer files on conventional type printing equipment are classified based on the type of printing equipment.

32312 - Support Activities for Printing
This industry is comprised of those establishments primarily engaged in performing pre-press and post-press activities in support of printing activities.

315212 - Women's, Girls', Infants' Cut and Sew Apparel Contractors
This industry sector includes those textile operations that produce embroidered garments.

325520 - Adhesive Manufacturing
This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in manufacturing glue, adhesives and related products.

325910 - Printing Ink Manufacturing
This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in manufacturing printing inks and ink jet inks and inkjet cartridges.

Recycling of inkjet cartridges are classified under NAICS 811212, Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance.

325992 - Photographic Film, Paper, Plate and Chemical Manufacturing
This industry code includes establishments primarily engaged in manufacturing sensitized film, sensitized cloth, sensitized plates, toners (i.e., for photocopiers, laser printers, and similar electrostatic printing devices), toner cartridges, and photographic chemicals.

326113 - Unsupported Plastic Film and Sheet Manufacturing
This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in converting plastic resins into unsupported plastic film and sheet.

333293 - Printing Industry and Equipment Manufacturing
This industry comprises establishments engaged in manufacturing printing and bookbinding machinery and equipment, such as printing presses.

333292 - Textile Machinery Manufacturing
This category includes textile printing presses.

334419 - Other Electronic Component Manufacturing
This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in manufacturing electronic components, except for: electron tubes, bare printed circuit boards; semiconductors and related devices; electronic capacitors; electronic resistors; coils, transformers and other inducts; connectors; and loaded printed circuit boards.

339950 - Sign Manufacturing
This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in manufacturing signs and related displays, of all materials except paper and paperboard. This industry classification includes the following:

Electric backlight signs, manufacturing
Neon signs, manufacturing
Electrical signs and advertising displays, manufacturing
Scoreboards, electric, manufacturing
Letters and numerals (except wood and paper), for signs, manufacturing

541890 - Other Services Related to Advertising
This industry includes those categories primarily engaged in providing advertising services, including sing lettering and painting services.
