Working with the Expert
Williamson is the principal of The Visual Information Group (VIG) LLC, a strategic consulting and market research firm headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also is an attorney licensed in Ohio, with a private practice focused on sign law. He holds a unique portfolio in the sign and commercial graphics markets. He is in his third decade working with product manufacturers, distributors, graphics producers, end-users of signs and designers.

He has tracked the introduction of all major technology changes affecting the commercial graphics markets, beginning with computerized vinyl cutting in the early 1980s through the emergence of large format printing in the 1990s to today, and the advent of networked electronic displays.

Williamson writes a monthly column, Sign Law & Policy, for Sign & Digital Graphics magazine, and beginning in January 2010, will contribute periodically to the SGIA News magazine.
