SGIA spoke to Dolf Kahle, CEO of Visual Marketing System, Inc. (VMS) in Twinsburg, Ohio, about how his company has repositioned its marketing approach to better relate to customers and meet increasing demands.

Question: Why did you recently change your marketing structure and how has it helped your business?


Answer: Our main focus for our marketing structure in 2010 is to integrate our marketing department with our sales force to better satisfy our existing and future customers. We believe that the closer the marketing and sales departments are, the more likely we are to find, maintain and satisfy customers. This unique relationship allows for VMS’s marketing department to better design marketing tools and publications based on the feedback from the sales team that are interesting and useful to the customer.
