Recap

recap_collageG7 Expert/Professional Training Class

M&R Companies successfully hosted the G7 Expert/Professional Training Class at its production facility near Chicago on August 17–19. The class was sponsored by Fujifilm Sericol and presented by SGIA and IDEAlliance.

It was the first-ever G7 training class that focused primarily on screen printing. Attendees learned about G7 theory and color management principals — and most importantly — became certified in G7 methodology.

Exclusive Tours
As a break from rigorous classroom instruction and printing on the state-of-the-art M&R Insignia six-color press, G7 students were treated to a bit of informal face-time with M&R CEO and Owner Rich Hoffman. They received a guided tour of the Niles, Illinois production facility and an inside look at the company’s wide range of presses and products.

M&RStudents also were invited to a Fujifilm Graphic Systems Facility Tour that included viewing the class test print matched on an Acuity Digital Flatbed Printer and ColorPath Verified with Taskero® Universe.

“In my 30 years of printing experience, G7 was the best four-color process printing method I have ever used. It eliminates the guessing of what color should be adjusted during the setup procedure. With this new knowledge and the improvements in setup, we estimate that our company has a setup time savings of three hours per week. This will result in about $500,000 in additional sales per year.”
