Re: Air Quality Management at the SGIA Expo

Your Support Requested — Please complete the Air Quality Initiative participation form

Virtually all solvent ink systems can be used safely and effectively with proper controls in place, and the SGIA Expo floor is the best place to demonstrate this capability. SGIA is seeking your support to provide a clean, business-friendly environment at SGIA expositions.

Because we recognize a need for increased air-quality controls for solvent-based imaging systems operating on the SGIA Expo floor, SGIA is developing an Air Quality Initiative for solvent systems in use at SGIA expositions.

We realize that most exhibitors with solvent systems have stepped up to address this important issue on their own. As part of our Air Quality Initiative effort, we wish to recognize the exhibitors who are committed to addressing air-filtration of solvent output devices on the SGIA Expo floor.

If your company will be exhibiting a solvent output device at SGIA’06 and you will be employing appropriate air filtration, please join our Air Quality Initiative List. Participants will be recognized for taking action to provide a clean, business-friendly environment at SGIA ’06 and future expositions. You will also have the opportunity to provide input to SGIA’s air filtration regulation.

Action Item: Please complete the Air Quality Initiative participation form to list your company as one dedicated to a safe, clean exposition environment.

Air Filtration Options

1. A Turnkey Solution for Exhibitors Needing an Air Filtration Solution at SGIA’06
SGIA has appointed Island Clean Air Inc. (ICA) as an official supplier of air filtration equipment for the SGIA trade show occurring September 26-29, 2006, located in Las Vegas, NV.

Companies not able to provide their own form of air filtration may use one or more Duster Air Filtration Units to remain in compliance with the requirements of the SGIA, when running solvent based inkjet printers on the Expo floor.

SGIA has negotiated a one time usage fee of $765.00 US dollars per unit, for use during the show.  (Units must be returned to ICA after the end of the show)

  • Fee will be paid directly to ICA and must be received prior to September 15, 2006 for the negotiated units to be delivered and set up by ICA
  • The unit(s) must be within the confines of your leased booth space
  • Cost covers all freight, customs, and material handling charges and does not represent a purchase price, and is only to be construed as a usage fee for the SGIA’06 Expo.
  • Number of units will depend upon the type, size, and number of printers operating in a booth
  • ICA will deliver, unpack and set up unit(s) for use during the show
  • ICA will remove and repackage the unit(s) after the show
  • Units will remain the strict property of Island Clean Air Inc. (ICA) and shall not be removed from the assigned booth under any circumstances
  • All units must be returned to ICA at the conclusion of the show unless previous arrangements to purchase the unit from ICA have been arranged, the burden of which falls upon the exhibiting company to provide proof of purchase
  • ICA will not be responsible for any misuse or misrepresentation of its units, logos, or trademarks, by any company, organization, employee, or individual therein

Exhibitors not supplying their own air filtration system should contact:
