ASSIST Bulletin Board Ups the Answer Quotient of SGIA.orgFor Immediate Release April 7, 2005 Contact: Kate Achelpohl, SGIA 703.359.1301 kate@sgia.org
Fairfax, Virginia — New at SGIA.org, the ASSIST bulletin board for graphic printers adds a new dimension to the power of ASSIST, SGIA’s help line for members.
“For years, members have contacted ASSIST by phone and by e-mail, and enjoyed fast, accurate answers to their technical and managerial challenges. The new bulletin board is one more way to pursue an answer, and has the added benefit of being interactive,” said Sondra Fry Benoudiz, SGIA Vice President of Membership.
When SGIA members post their queries, they’ll receive answers from their fellow members and the SGIA staff. While non-members can browse the questions and answers, active participation is strictly a member benefit.
“The ASSIST bulletin boards are public areas of SGIA.org, readily available references specialty imagers can tap when looking for solutions,” Benoudiz said.
“The interactive nature of the bulletin boards adds dimension and power to this popular member benefit: Our members are used to getting the right answer from the SGIA ASSIST help line, but now, potentially, they’ll be able to choose from a variety of right answers put forth by their peers as well as the staff.”
Postings online today include queries about finding an 8-foot inkjet printer for dye sublimation, sourcing for hot stamp dies, and finding a consultant who can train employees and review shop set up. ASSIST can also answer questions about job descriptions and salary ranges, four-color process and compliance issues.
ASSIST is among the leading benefits SGIA members cite when renewing their memberships, Benoudiz noted, adding that 95 percent of queries are answered with a single e-mail or phone call. To learn more about ASSIST or to join SGIA, visit SGIA.org or call 888.385.3588.
