Fairfax, Virginia — Enhancements to the SGIA Virtual Trade Show and Guide to Wide-Format Output Devices on SGIA.org smooth the way for site visitors to learn who and what will be available at the SGIA Digital Expo (Phoenix, December 8–10, 2005).
Online Tools Simplify Pre-show Prep
“The SGIA Digital Expo has a highly-focused, concentrated approach and will provide access to the most important innovations, the newest information and the leaders in digital imaging,” said SGIA President Michael Robertson.
To help attendees to prepare for the show, exhibitors will submit their new and featured products for posting on the SGIA.org home page as well as in their Virtual Trade Show booths. The Association has also added functionality to the online Wide-Format Output Device Guide, with search results clearly indicating whether a manufacturer is also a Digital Expo exhibitor.
“Attendees who want to maximize their time at the SGIA Digital Expo need to prepare ahead of time, and we’re providing the tools to do so on SGIA.org,” Robertson said.
Keynote Speaker has License to Prognosticate
In other show news, SGIA just booked Michael Rogers (“Practical Futurist”) for the keynote luncheon Friday, December 9. Rogers — journalist, media executive and “interactive media pioneer” — ponders technology and the future for a living. He’s spent his working life in the media, investigating new technology, predicting its impact and setting course based on the conclusions.
Rogers’ technology fascination has manifested in many ways over the years: creating new applications for interactive media, writing a column on MSNBC.com, as a business consultant, creating Newsweek’s “Technology” column, serving as New Media Division Vice President at the Washington Post Company, serving as Editor and General Manager of Newsweek.com, writing for Rolling Stone magazine, founding of Outside magazine. Even his best-selling novels explore the human impact of technology.
See Michael Rogers and explore the vast world of digital imaging technology in person at the SGIA Digital Expo. Registration and details — including a list of exhibitors, the SGIA Virtual Trade Show and the Wide-Format Output Device Guide — are available at SGIA.org.
SGIA — Supporting the Leaders of the Digital & Screen Printing Community “Specialty imaging” comprises digital imaging, screen printing and the many other imaging technologies SGIA members use, including those they’ll tap in the future. These are the imaging processes and technologies employed to create new products and to enhance existing products including point-of-purchase displays, signs, advertisements, garments, containers, and vehicles. Immerse yourself in digital technology for specialty imaging at the SGIA Digital Expo (Phoenix, December 8–10, 2005).
