Fairfax, Virginia — It's pretty much a given that when the SGIA Digital Expo (Phoenix, December 8-10) opens next week, the technology on the show floor will grab headlines. But what will really drive home the benefits of the show for attendees are the myriad networking opportunities, says SGIA President Michael Robertson.
"The Digital Expo will be a community where attendees can connect, learn from each other and get inspiration for new ways to move their businesses forward," he says. Robertson has some tips for getting the most out of attending the show:
Start on the floor: Walk the floor, talk to colleagues, vendors and peers and see the latest digital imaging equipment and consumables in action. But don't stop there.
Head to Booth 521 to find the Product of the Year, Wrap Display Area, and Digital Interior Design Display.
Plug-n-Play: Eat, drink and get connected at the Plug-n-Play reception, Thursday, December 8, 6:00–7:00 pm. (Hyatt Regency Phoenix. Tickets $10.)
Get Educated: Our comprehensive conference program combines forward-thinking vision with nuts-and-bolts for digital imaging profits. Includes industry panels, vendor sessions and two Spanish-language sessions.
Key In: Michael Rogers, "The Practical Futurist," will present a keynote address that ties together technology, people and the future of your industry. Friday, December 9, Noon–1:30 pm. (Phoenix Convention Center. Tickets $35. Includes lunch.)
Visit SGIA at Booth 400: Come by and meet ASSIST help-line experts and have a cup of coffee. While you're there, enter to win your very own i-Pod shuffle, redeem your $30 Eye Opener voucher and pick up your copy of the 2006 "Guide to Digital Imaging" (while supplies last).
"The SGIA Digital Expo is about making the connections you need to lead your business into the future," says Robertson. "Personal connections as well as the inspiration for new markets and products. Join SGIA in Phoenix to enjoy some pixels in paradise and prepare to move your business forward."
