Signs of Safety on the WayFor Immediate Release December 27, 2005 Contact: Kate Achelpohl, SGIA 703.359.1301 kate@sgia.org
Fairfax, Virginia — SGIA's annual safety posters will be available to members early next month, with two new designs by Winston Zhang of Wheat Buckley and His Talking Horse Screenworks Inc. (Calgary, Alberta, Canada).
The year's themes — "MSDS: Keep Them Accessible," "Forklifts/Powered Trucks: Train-to-Operate" and "Substance Abuse Hurts Everyone" — reflect on the importance of each individual to a shop's safety environment.
SGIA Vice President, Government & Business Information, Marci Kinter noted the posters are important reminders of simple actions that will reduce accidents and injuries on the job.
"Management certainly sets the tone for good safety and health practices, but it takes everyone — from the office staff to the end of the production line — to carry them out," said Kinter.
