SGIA '07 Speaker Bruce Ridge Encourages Sales DevelopmentFor Immediate Release August 16, 2007 Contact: Marguerite Higgins, SGIA 703.359.1310 mhiggins@sgia.org
Fairfax, Virginia -- To better help specialty imagers meet their customers' needs, industry consultant Bruce Ridge will share his expertise for handling common sales miscommunications during his educational session at SGIA '07 (Orlando, Florida; October 24-27, 2007). http://www.sgia.org/events/current_expo/sgia07/index_attend.cfm
"What Every Person in Print Sales and Customer Service Should Know about Color" (Wednesday, October 24; 2:00 pm-3:15 pm) takes on a prevalent issue among imaging companies: Salespeople being disconnected from what is possible and realistic within their company's capabilities, and how that impacts industry practices. http://www.sgia.org/events/current_expo/sgia07/planner/
"It's very common," said Ridge, Business Director for Nazdar Consulting Services, "that sales and customer service people are not up-to-date on the proofing technology, color matching systems and acceptable variation and tolerances in color reproduction."
Ridge plans to run down the latest methods for accurate color matching and proofing, general print specifications for a broad customer base and current printing standards. He'll also stress solutions that have worked to help sales teams increase sales of their company's stronger products or services.
"Most companies have limitations, and it's important for customer service or sales representatives to know what they can do well and aggressively market those products," he said.
The session, a must for sales managers and customer service reps, also benefits business owners and pre-press managers. "It's important for them to know what their sales force is learning," Ridge added.
