Fairfax, Virginia - SGIA will be presenting at Graphic Solutions Group's upcoming seminar "Phthalates in Textile Printing: Regulations and Practical Applications" on February 9 and 11, 2010.
Held at Graphic Solutions Groups' facilities in Dallas and Houston, this seminar is a vital educational opportunity for anyone who produces children's products or a product for the consumer marketplace.
Presenters Marci Kinter, SGIA's Vice President of Government and Business Information; and Ray Greenwood, SGIA's Technical Services Associate, will discuss a variety of issues, including:
- Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) compliance
- Testing requirements
- Equipment issues
- Phthalate compliant products
- PVC-free products
- Ink clean-up procedures
"It is essential for garment decorators and graphic imagers to stay on top of these legislative issues," said Kinter. "Many products are required to meet lead and phthalate content limits as well as mandatory safety requirements and it's up to you to make sure your business is in compliance."
