SGIA's new digital lab’s hands-on workshops
and investigative analyses are just what you need to work more efficiently
and get a handle on issues
around color management, screen-printing profiling, inkjet spot-color
matching, halftone screening, ink limits
and raster image processors.
As part of the lab’s mission to educate members on the industry’s
best practices, three workshops have been developed:
• Color Management for Specialty Imaging
• Direct to Garment Digital
• Intro to Digital Printing
• Laminating & Finishing
The Digital Imaging Lab, which includes the majority of technologies and processes used by the
specialty imaging industry, has capabilities such as:
- Direct-to-garment digital printing on light and dark garments
- Long-term/short-term indoor and outdoor graphics printing
- Color management theory, practice and profiling for media,
input devices and monitors
- Digital proofing and film positives for screen printing
