  • OSHA Increases Penalties For 2020

    January 15, 2020

    On January 15, 2020, Federal OSHA announced an increase to the maximum penalty an employer can be issued for violations. The new penalty levels will apply to all violations occurring after January 15, 2020. See inside for a comparison of 2019 vs. 2020 penalty rates.
  • SGIA Named to EPA’s Clean Air Act Advisory Committee

    After a meticulous selection process, SGIA was named to participate in EPA’s Clean Air Act Advisory Committee (CAAAC). The purpose of the CAAAC is to develop a diverse representative group to advise EPA on a variety of important air quality issues.
  • SGIA Joins Louisville, KY Workgroup on Air Pollution Emission Reductions

    January 6, 2020

    SGIA has joined the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District’s (APCD) Multipollutant Stakeholder Group (MPSG). This group will discuss current air pollution challenges and make recommendations for next steps to improve local air quality and reduce health impacts from air pollution. The MPSG will also look at reducing fine particulate pollution and air toxics, which may provide co-benefits to the effort to reduce ozone.
