SGIA Releases New Interactive Wage, Salary and Sales Compensation Benchmarking Report

For Immediate Release July 29, 2013 Contact: Kat Thomas, SGIA 703.359.1360 kat@sgia.org Fairfax, Virginia — SGIA has released its 2013 Wage, Salary and Sales Compensation Benchmarking Reports for the graphic and sign and garment decoration communities, which provide detailed compensation information on the industry’s 42 top sales, management, administrative and production positions. “The data contained in this new report helps take the guesswork out of compensation by providing useful, comparative information that serves as a reliable industry benchmark,” says Dan Marx, SGIA’s vice president of markets and technologies. “It helps companies make the right compensation decisions for their business.” Of particular note is the strength of change in the industry since 2011, when SGIA last conducted this survey. In general terms, the report illustrates either no change or marginal growth for most production positions. Graphic designer is the most commonly held position and has seen a moderate increase on the pay scale over time. For 2013, instead of a static document filled with charts and numbers, this latest Benchmarking Report will be available to SGIA members (and survey participants) as an interactive profile of specialty imaging’s hottest jobs. Data tables can be viewed:
  • By community
  • By company revenue
  • By US geographic region
  • By technology mix
Company owners and managers looking to better understand compensation trends within the industry can utilize this report to help them make better decisions for their business and staffing needs.
