SmartWay? Affiliate Program

SGIA joined the SmartWay® Affiliate Program in April of 2015 as the first printing trade association to participate. Its purpose is to improve fuel efficiency and the environmental performance (reduction of both greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution) of the goods movement supply chains.  SmartWay aims to accelerate the availability, adoption and market penetration of advanced fuel efficient technologies and operational practices in the freight supply chain, while helping companies save fuel, lower costs and reduce adverse environmental impacts. EPA has expanded the SmartWay Program to include four major elements: SmartWay Transport Partnership, SmartWay Technology Program, SmartWay Vehicles, and SmartWay International Interests.  SGIA encourages its members, both printers and suppliers, to join the program as SmartWay Shippers and improve environmental performance while enjoying the many benefits partners and companies receive.  Through SmartWay, your company can:  • Benchmark and reduce your freight supply chain carbon footprint • Use SmartWay tools and data to do credible carbon accounting and reporting • Access freight supply chain best practices which reduce costs and emissions • Improve energy and environmental efficiency of freight operations • Meet customer/ shareholder demands for leadership in corporate sustainability • Earn recognition for your achievements through awards programs Questions?
