OSHA HazComm Deadline for Manufacturers ? June 1, 2015

By June 1, 2015, all employers must be in full compliance with the revised OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (HCS). Under OSHA regulation, owners have a legal obligation to train employees to identify and handle hazardous chemicals safely. After June 1, OSHA can cite for non-compliance if your program is not meeting the new requirements. In response, SGIA has developed the Right to Know training program to help you and your employees comply with the new HCS requirements. For a limited time, this program will be on sale for $100 (members receive a 50-percent discount). It includes:
  • An instructional DVD incorporating information on new hazard warning labels, safety data sheets and personal protective equipment in the workplace
  • New train-the-trainer resources to help personalize the training to your location
  • A safety poster detailing all of the new hazard warning elements and pictograms for use as a training aid
  • Complete templates for your written program and for listing all hazardous chemicals
  • Employee guides
  • A copy of the new Hazard Communication Standard
