What's in a Phrase?

If your sign code places restrictions based on the content of the sign, you may have a problem bigger than just your phrasing. On June 18, 2015, the US Supreme Court came to a decision on just such a case. In Reed v. Town of Gilbert, it determined that the Arizona town’s sign code was in violation of the First Amendment and did not meet the requirement for content neutrality.
