Fisher Textiles Selected as 2015 Product of the Year Winner at SGIA Expo

The 2015 Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Expo brought together leaders of the specialty imaging industry this year in Atlanta. In addition to a successful showcase, Fisher Textiles was recognized in the Association's prestigious Product of the Year Competition and DD 6788 MoJo® backlit fabric was awarded Product of the Year for Media — Textile — Framing Systems. "We put extensive effort into developing this new product for backlit SEG. It took three years in the making," said Scott Fisher, president, Fisher Textiles. "To us, winning the Product of the Year award validates that this truly is a groundbreaking product." DD 6788 MoJo is Fisher's newest wrinkle resistant backlit fabric for direct dye sub, UV and latex printing. MoJo is specially engineered for light dispersion, has an amazing white point and produces brilliant backlit prints. The fabric is flame retardant, weighs 5.3 ounces and is stocked at 120 inches wide. A total of 141 entries in 38 product categories were submitted for this exclusive competition. Conducted during the 2015 SGIA Expo (Atlanta, November 4-6), this year’s event was one of the most challenging in recent history. “We are really thrilled with the participation from exhibiting companies, and we even doubled the product categories to correctly acknowledge all of the possible technical accomplishments honored in this competition,” said Ray Weiss, SGIA’s Digital Specialist. “The award winners have been extremely enthusiastic about their wins, understanding just how competitive the field was this year.” A recap of the 2015 SGIA Expo — including the complete list of Product of the Year winners — will be available online at SGIA.org after the show ends.
