Computer capabilities doubling about every eighteen months and digital imaging and printing have revolutionized the way we communicate, photograph, design, manufacture and print. Single-pass inkjet is appearing in commercial printing and manufacturing plants as well as offices in increasing numbers. This article describes manufacturers’ single-pass products, the challenges and limitations they faced and some of the ways they have devised to overcome those limitations to provide viable solutions.
