New Overtime Rules in Effect December 1, 2016: Are You Ready?

The Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division issued new regulations on May 18, 2016, for determining whether white collar salaried employees are exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)'s minimum wage and overtime pay protections.  Unless specifically exempted, employees covered by the FLSA must receive pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek, at a rate not less than one and one-half their regular rates of pay.
