Fairfax, Virginia — The 2017 SGIA Product of the Year competition is open with an earlier timeline and a new benefit to participating SGIA Expo exhibitors: pre-Expo publicity. Judges will evaluate entries this summer at SGIA headquarters and announce the winners ahead of the 2017 SGIA Expo (New Orleans, October 10–12).
The annual Product of the Year competition spotlights products that are moving imaging forward — innovative technologies making a difference to the way imagers do business. Only exhibiting SGIA members may compete, and until this year, entries were judged onsite at the SGIA Expo.
“The Product of the Year awards help attendees discern the technological developments that will help their businesses move forward. By publicizing the winners ahead of time, we’re arming attendees with more practical information,” said Ray Weiss, Digital Imaging Specialist SGIA.
He added, “Completing the judging well before the 2017 SGIA Expo also means the winning exhibitors have the opportunity to publicize their success as they promote their presence at the show. They’ll be able to display the coveted jewel trophy at their booths, too.”
