Wrap Like a Pro Workshop Returns by Popular Demand

For Immediate Release July 13, 2017 Contact: Kate Achelpohl, SGIA 703.359.1364 kate@sgia.org Fairfax, Virginia — The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), owner and producer of the 2017 SGIA Expo (New Orleans, October 10–12), is pleased to announce three single-day sessions of the Wrap Like a Pro workshop led by Rob Ivers, Rob Ivers, Inc. (Raymore, Missouri) and Shane Courtney, Core Graphics & Signs, LLC (Tallahassee, Florida). “What Rob and Shane, the trainers, will focus on is meeting the attendees where their skills are, then building from there. So if someone is a complete beginner, they get basic training, and if they are skilled and proficient, it will be about building on that proficiency,” said Dan Marx, Director of Content Development, SGIA. SGIA has offered Wrap Like a Pro during the SGIA Expo since 2014, and workshops consistently sell out. The instructors are a large part of the draw. Rob Ivers (Rob Ivers, Inc., Raymore, Missouri), a leader in innovation and technique, began working with vinyl graphics in 1978 and started teaching installation in 1993. Many of his own installations are vehicle wraps. Shane Courtney is the owner of Core Graphics & Signs, LLC (Tallahassee, Florida). He’s been involved with vinyl graphics since 1996. “We keep these classes small to allow ample time for hands-on learning and interaction with Rob and Shane,” Marx added. “They fill up fast, so we recommend registering as soon as possible.” Wrap Like a Pro workshops will be held 9:00 am–4:00 pm on Monday, October 10, and Tuesday, October 11, and 8:00 am–3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12. The $349/person fee includes lunch and transportation from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center to the workshop site.
