The IoT refers to the ability for all our appliances, our cars, our homes, even our bodies, to be interconnected and share data with each other, a mobile phone app and/or a third party. The IoT was born of the merging of a variety of different technologies, such as wireless communication, machine learning, data analytics and inexpensive sensors.
