In recent years there has been a resurgence of interest in working with water-based textile inks. This has come about due to the concerns around phthalates and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in conventional plastisol inks. Waterbased inks have the perception of being more ecologically friendly and less toxic than their plastisol counterparts, but they come with a processing price.
