Total Printing Systems First Book Manufacturer to Install Océ ProStream 1000

A forward-thinking company, Total Printing Systems recently became the first book printer to install the Océ ProStream inkjet press from Canon Solutions America. Combining the strength of new technology with decades of experience in the book manufacturing industry, Total Printing Systems is committed to pushing technology forward that will support the printing of more books and enable the company to be more competitive in the market.

“Our customers are blown away by the quality of the Océ ProStream,” said Rick Lindemann, President and Owner of Total Printing Systems. “While most inkjet presses are good enough for a lot of markets, book publishers are more aware of image quality. We needed a press that would meet or exceed our customers’ expectations, and after spending months exploring various options, it became clear that the Océ ProStream is at the forefront of image quality. I feel confident in approaching any customer and showcasing high-quality work.”

According to Total Printing Systems, in the four months following the installation, the company has been able to better serve the higher end of the short-run color market and has successfully transitioned several jobs from toner-based to inkjet. With customers ranging from young to well-seasoned, and from micro publishers to large fortune 500 companies, Total Printing Systems is eager to expand its offerings and take on new projects, such as the printing of yearbooks, catalogs and short-run magazines.

“The book printing and publishing markets are changing rapidly with emerging digital production press technologies,” said Francis McMahon, Executive Vice President, Production Print Solutions, Canon Solutions America. “Our goal is to introduce our customers to new technology that will help them expand their offerings and we are very excited to have the Océ ProStream with one of the leading book manufacturers in the industry.”
