Wrinkling

Problem

Irregular waves running across the laminated web.

Solutions

• Check the tension on the supply mandrels. There may not be enough tension for the type of film.
• The pressure adjustment for the laminating and pull rolls is out of adjustment.
• The cooling fans may not be working.
• The heat is set too high.
• The rubber laminating rolls or the heat shoes are not clean.
• Make sure the film is threaded properly.
