Scripts for television mysteries always get solved in 60 minutes or less. In the real world, UV mysteries do not follow a script and unless solved, the bottom line of your company is punished. In this premier 60-minute episode, learn how to think, act and respond like a detective to solve your UV print mysteries. We will focus on the shiny (gloss levels), sticky (adhesion), and mistaken identity. This presentation shows how to use data collection tools and methods to detect, analyze, and correct common UV curing problems. The information will include an examination of how wavelength, peak irradiance and energy density influence cure, and how radiometers and profiling radiometers together with real-time UV sensors and a proper process window specification and monitoring program can fix and prevent UV-curing problems.
