New members were welcomed by SGIA with a true New Orleans brisket buffet lunch on the first day of the SGIA Expo, October 10, in New Orleans. The SGIA Board, staff members and committee volunteer leaders also joined the crowd, and helped guide the conversations at each table.
“These new members didn’t need much help opening up!” said Sondra Fry Benoudiz, SGIA VP of Member Services for more than 20 years. “Attendees were hungry for industry knowledge and business strategy recommendations from their peers. This was a great opportunity for new members to exchange business cards and make long-term connections.”
In fact, Benoudiz started off the luncheon by talking about the twelve founding members who established the Screen Printing Association 69 years ago.
“10 of those companies are still operating, and are still members today,” she said. “When we asked how they benefit from SGIA membership, all of them fondly recall the many friendships established through the years.”
