I began my professional career in the newspaper industry, after receiving an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from The Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts, introducing desktop publishing to Lancaster Newspapers in 1992. I was responsible for purchasing and maintaining all computer systems and software, specifying SOP’s, as well as training other employees - in addition to being the top producing staff artist. While working for Lancaster Newspapers I honed my skills and became proficient in desktop publishing, scanning, and color separation/reproduction for cold-set web printing. I then went to work for a national graphic arts reseller, GE Richards Graphic Supplies (who I’d been purchasing hardware/software from), as an application specialist - training clients in graphics related software. I went on to become the only color specialist on staff, installing scanners and proofing systems and teaching people color management around the country. In 1999 I started my own business, ColorGeek Inc., solving client’s color workflow problems for photographers, printers, publishers, and converters. In 2010 I sold my business to Color Management Distribution and have been the Director of Technical Services until now. In my current role, I’m responsible for pre-sales and technical support for all of our expert consultants, certified resellers and their clients on design, printing, prepress and pressroom solutions - as well as handling all of our marketing and online stores maintenance. I'm also an avid professional photographer and enjoy expressing my creative side for a short list of choice clients and projects. My passion is digital imaging, printing and color, and I plan on pursuing it until my last breath.
