Has over 40 years in the paints and coatings industry with a strong emphasis in UV and EB curing. With his degree in Chemistry, Howard starting his career with BASF, then joined Sun Chemical as a Senior Chemist working on UV Coatings in their R&D facility in Carlstadt, NJ. As a formulator, Howard created the first commercial UV Coating for 2-piece cans, which became the product used by Coors Brewery. Later, gradually transitioning to the business side of coatings, he worked for Reliance Universal (now Akzo Nobel), then returned to Sun Chemical in 1986 to centralize all coatings under a new business unit, as Business Manager. He continued in the industry, joining Printer Service' as SVP in 1996, became President of Craig Adhesives & Coatings in 2002, and joined DSM (DSM-AGI) in 2010. Finally, in 2014, Howard joined UV Specialties. With his interest in UV & EB Technology, Howard has been involved in RadTech, NA since it's early days and has served as President (2011, 2012). He remains a Board member.
