SGIA's annual Product of the Year competition showcases products that keep the specialty imaging industry moving forward. Winning companies achieve worldwide recognition and the ability to market their product as a winner of this prestigious competition.

Open to inkjet output devices as well as non-output products that are currently available for sale during the year of the competition, entrants will be required to print and submit a test image created by the Association for the output devices, and for the non-output device categories an information piece will be used (as well as videos when necessary).

Judging for Product of the Year

Judging for all categories will be held at SGIA prior to the PRINTING United expo so that companies will have time to promote their winning entries. Judges comprise of industry experts who will score the products submitted and award the most innovative products for the digital imaging community.

Entry Procedures

Upon receipt of entry payment ($85 per entry), SGIA will email a confirmation letter that includes an Information Kit as a PDF attachment. The Information Kit contains entry guidelines, complete shipping instructions and competition identification labels. Instructions for properly preparing your entry(s) for display are also included.

The system we are using this year allows multiple entries (as in year's past), however this year it does require each entry to be submitted and paid for one-at-a-time. This is different from year's past, and we wanted to make you aware before you begin the process.

The Product of the Year competition will open soon and will be conducted in each of the following categories:
